We have asked Morrisons to prove that polluted stormwater isn’t being allowed to leave the car park of its store in Queensbury, NW London. When it rains the water will wash oil and other pollutants into drains that lead to the Kenton Brook. We are waiting for the company to demonstrate that it prevents this from happening. This could be using a device that intercepts the water and removes oil etc. We also need assuring that the interceptor is regularly emptied and maintained. Unless this happens the interceptor will be a source of pollution.

So far they have ignored our email. We will now give them a deadline or report them to the Environment Agency for polluting this local river.
